Product Link Service Announcement
GPS Number Rollover Event: Possible Impact on Data Sync
On April 6, 2019, Cat® machines with certain Product Link™ devices will be unable to sync with the user interfaces of VisionLink® and My.Cat.Com. This is a direct result of a worldwide issue affecting GPS data. The machine’s basic operational functions will not be affected. We understand the importance of your data and are working with Caterpillar to resolve the issue.
The majority of affected Product Link devices will be updated by using a Flash Over the Air (FOTA) signal. The remaining impacted devices that cannot be updated by the FOTA signal will need to be physically updated.
Next steps: The FOTA update will release on 03/25/2019 and will not affect the operation of your machine(s). For machines that require a physical upgrade, Wagner Equipment Co. will be contacting customers to schedule.
Please fill out the form so we can access your account and investigate if your machine’s Product Link device has been affected. We will contact you to schedule a Product Link device upgrade.
