Celebrating 50 Years of Wagner Equipment Co.

In 1976, Wagner Equipment Co. sold its very first Caterpillar machine, a Cat® 950A wheel loader. That moment marked the beginning of a journey that would grow into five decades of service, partnership, and progress across Colorado, New Mexico, and far West Texas.

Twenty-five years later, Wagner celebrated a milestone that captured the spirit of the company in a powerful and personal way. In a surprise presentation during its 25th anniversary celebration, Wagner restored and returned that original 1976 Cat 950A wheel loader, a machine that had spent decades working hard in the field and logging more than 40,000 hours of use. The restoration was carried out quietly by Wagner employees, who brought the machine back to like-new condition as a tribute to the company’s roots, its people, and the customers it proudly serves.
