THE CAT® C18 ACERT DIESEL GENERATOR SET
The C18 has been re-engineered precisely to balance power availability and reliability with lighter weight and easier handling. Built compactly and self-contained, this generator set is now easier to own and operate.

DIESEL ENGINES
The four-cycle Cat diesel engines feature a reliable, rugged, and durable design that has been field proven in thousands of applications worldwide in emergency standby installations.
ADVANCED DESIGN
Installations are made easier with a wide skid base, integral fuel tanks, and sub base fuel tanks that contain removable cabling access plates. The breaker box has been relocated and updated with removable cross braces to ease installation
COOLING SYSTEM
Designed and tested to ensure proper generator set cooling; includes the radiator, fan, belts, and all guarding installed as standard.
GENERATOR SET PACKAGE
Designed to meet the NFPA 110 requirements for loading and the ISO 8528-5 steady state and fill transient response requirements
EMCP CONTROL PANELS
Designed to ensure reliable generator set operation and provide extensive information about power output and engine operation.

CORROSION AND DAMAGE RESISTANCE
Built with corrosion-resistant galvanized steel components and finished with scratch and rust resistant powder-coated paint and thermoplastic corner posts.
INCREASED PROTECTION
Designed with an all-round overhanging base frame, locking control panel window, and locking access doors for the fuel fill and battery.
SOUND ATTENUATION
Sound attenuated level 1 enclosures are 75 dBA at 23 feet for all nodes and sound attenuated level 2 enclosures are 70-72 dBA at 23 feet available up to 500kW. Enclosures are available for operation in up to 109º environments.
