Caterpillar introduces the CR Series on-board radio that enables users to switch between GPS and ATS grade control without changing out the machine radio. Firmware on the CR radios upgrades directly through the display, eliminating the need for using a PC and simplifying machine installation and integration. The radio is available in two configurations—single band 900 MHz and 2400 MHz, and dual band 900/2400MHz.

The AP655D sets the standard in performance, operator comfort, ease-of-use, mobility, and reliability. Typical applications for the AP655D include: highways, urban and rural streets, county roads, lane additions, industrial sites, overlays, airport runways and other medium to high production-sized paving jobs.

Caterpillar acquired E-Ject Systems in January, 2008, and now Cat^® dealers in North America are the exclusive suppliers of the four models of pull type scrapers. The scrapers are available in two different capacities, 17 cubic yards (13 cubic meters) and 22 cubic yards (16.8 cubic meters), and in two different configurations, standard two-wheel and an advanced design with four wheels.
